PUERTO RICO BOUND

Nov 5, 2015

I have never been so excited to wake up at four in the morning. That must mean one thing: vacation has finally arrived! A much anticipated...much needed vacation is finally here.

For the past week, work had been dragging ever so slowly, time seemed to be at a stand still, and it felt like vacation would never come.

The day before I left rolled around and of course I'm panicking about which outfits I wanted to bring, which shoes, and of course what makeup I would take and what I would leave behind...I have parting issues apparently.

There is never a more stressful thought than not knowing what outfit you will want to wear six days from now. I mean, seriously, I need to have my options.  So I'm pretty sure I over packed (as always), but hey, I fit everything for an eight day trip into a carry on suitcase and my Kate Spade tote. Yes, you read that right. It's all in a carry on, baby. So, needless to say, I probably forgot something important (like tennis! oops!), but that just gives me an excuse to go shopping when I land!

This is my third time returning to Puerto Rico and I absolutely love it. It's simply gorg. Don't worry, I'll post tons of pictures, too. My sister and I can't get enough... We're basically Puerto Rico pros. We just keep comin' back. Oh, and I love getting to spend a little quality sister time with her too! :)

So just to clear this up a bit... Yes, my last name is Rodriguez. No, I know nothing more than, hi, where's food, and bathroom in Spanish... You know, the important things. Yes, I'm Puerto Rican. Yes, I know I don't look it. Why you ask? Well, because I'm only like way less than a quarter Puerto Rican, but hey, diversity is cool. Oh, and I tan well too, so it's got that goin' for me. I'll probably get asked a gazillion things in Spanish because someone will see my ID and assume I can speak it until I look completely clueless, and they'll laugh. It happens every time. Every stinkin time. But I thought I'd let you know that now because I know you were staring back and forth at my last name and ash blonde hair trying to piece it together. It's okay. You're not alone.

Anywhoo, Thursday we landed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then traveled across the island to Aguadilla. We all have never been to this side of the island, so we were excited to drive across to new unconvered territories and I'm ready for more adventures and relaxation.

Oh, and I'll be blogging a lot more this week than I normally do. Gotta keep everyone updated on what we're up too. Yes Mom & Dad, this is for you!

Here's so pics of the first two days of adventures. You know, travels, pretty scenery, and such. Enjoy!
