Where are all my kitty lovers?! I don't know about you, but I am the definition of a kitty mama. It makes the fact that I work from home even more joyful, because I have my fur baby right there with me all day long. I guess you could say I'm kind of a stay-at-home cat mom. haha! Am I pushing it a little too far? Maybe, but I don't care--she's legit my child and I treat her like one, too! 

To be honest, I have never felt more prepared for motherhood than after having a kitten for the past year. What is a normal sleep schedule? What does it mean to have a bed to yourself? Why does she always want to eat? Pretty sure that's how human moms feel, right? haha! But, let me tell you something, I wouldn't have it any other way. 😻  That's why today's post is all about Lilly, how I spoil her, and how you can spoil your kitties, too!

One // Brush your kitty

Lilly loves to be brushed. She purrs so loud when she's getting brushed that it sounds like a motor boat. She will seriously stay put for as long as you're willing to brush her. The funniest part is when she get's so relaxed, that she pulls out her best yoga move, the downward dog. Every time she does it, I can't help but laugh. The upside to brushing your kitty on a regular basis, besides the fact that it makes your kitty happy, is it also helps keep the fur mess down. I'd call that a win-win!

Two // Buy your kitty a new toy

Anyone else's kitty go crazy when they get a new toy?! Lilly obsesses over them and carries them everywhere she goes. Whenever we get her a new one it's like Christmas morning for her. She's my baby--she deserves them always. I think the cutest thing that she does with her toys is carry them into whatever room Chris and I are in and leave them there for us to play with her. Whether it be her stuffed elephant (it's almost comical how attached she is to this thing!), a Q-Tip, or her beloved gold stretchy cord, she cherishes them always. Does anyone else's cat bring a string or a Q-Tip to you, look at you and wait for you to throw it--you throw it, and then they go fetch it and bring it back?! I swear sometimes Lilly acts like a dog. It's the cutest thing. Bottom line: Spoil your kitty with some toys. They cherish them more than you think.

It's kind of hard to see in this picture because the camera wouldn't focus fast enough, but do you see Lilly?! She's stalking her "prey" before dinner. Also, have you ever tried to take a picture of a cat while they're playing?! It's the hardest thing ever! haha!

Three // Give your kitty a gourmet dinner

Lilly is a food-loving kitty, for sure. She is the first to tell you in the morning it's time for breakfast, and she knows exactly when dinner time is, too. I can't stop laughing at this last picture. Lilly is like, "Okay, Mom. You've taken my picture enough. Just give me more of that yummy food." 😹  It's hilarious to me how expressive she is.
