DARLING LINEN DRESS || SUSTAINABLE, SLOW FASHION WITH NOT PERFECT LINEN

This year, I've started decluttering my home and my closet, and to be honest, it has helped me change my priorities in so many ways. One of them is in how I look at my clothes. I've worked in fashion and luxury goods for a decade now, and one thing I always noticed was I had to have the latest styles, the newest trends, or something in every color. But the main thing that was missing in all of this was clothing that truly fit me, my style, and I felt good wearing.

As a work-from-home mama of two boys, I find myself reaching for simple, comfortable pieces that I look and feel beautiful in, and the majority of my closet has sat untouched for over a year. In my closet decluttering, it's out with the old, the tattered, and the pieces that no longer make me feel good wearing. 2024 is the year that I simplify and elevate my wardrobe by adding quality pieces that make me feel beautiful in motherhood.

I recently discovered Not Perfect Linen, a family-run brand that ethically hand-crafts each piece with high-quality, sustainable materials. All items are made-to-order, which means that you can customize each piece to your size, color, and style preferences. When selecting my pieces, I was able to send in my specific measurements so that the waistline was perfectly tailored to my body.

When my pieces arrived, I couldn't wait to try them on, and because they were custom-made for me, they fit perfectly. For my first order, I chose two dress styles and a pair of pants, all in heavy linen--perfect for fall, winter, and early spring.

The first dress I'm sharing in today's post is the MAMA long-sleeve dress. I love the simplicity of the dress and how I can easily pump & breastfeed while wearing it because of the customizable snaps. It's a loose style that allows you to feel beautiful during pregnancy and postpartum when a little extra room may be needed and best of all, it has pockets!

While wearing this dress, I feel beautiful and feminine, yet I'm still comfortable enough to take on the day and all that mama life brings. So, here's to a new me--one that is embracing my new lifestyle as a mama of two, a new personal style, and feeling good in and about the clothing I'm wearing.

A special thanks to Not Perfect Linen for sponsoring today's post.
