Jesus & pink peonies

Jul 2, 2014

You may think I'm crazy, but I cannot sleep without fresh flowers by my bedside. I love the way it puts a sweet aroma in my bedroom. Pink roses or pink peonies; either will do just fine for me. Flowers are a sweet, sweet reminder of the beautiful life that I live. They also remind me that as a woman of God we are to be delicate, always blooming, and we must push through all the "dirt" in life to make something beautiful.

I came across Matthew 6:30-34 (MSG) this morning and here is what it says:
"If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers--most of which are never even seen--don't you think He'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way He works, fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."

God takes care of the flowers and makes them beautiful, always. You my dear are worth far more than a flower in the wilderness. He will take care of you and help you through it all. Push through the "dirt" in life and give your attention to God. He will lead you. No matter what you are going through He is there. You are His beautiful creation and He wants only the best for you.

Every day when I awake and I smell the sweet aroma of flowers and see the beauty in them through and through, it reminds me that I am God's creation, He loves me, and He will never let me go. It's the little things in life that remind me how truly blessed I am. Flowers; so simple, yet such a powerful reminder. Stay true to the Word and stay true to who you are. Love God and love life. The world is at your fingertips, darling.

  1. Love this Kristen! Flowers are so wonderful :) And yes, after we push through the dirt and grow, we are beautiful masterpieces that were handcrafted by God each unique and individual!
