HOLIDAY MAKEUP LOOK // RED LIPS & NATURAL EYES

Happy Tuesday! Does today feel like a repeat of Monday or is it just me?! I'm finding it suuuper hard for me to get motivated this week. In fact, the only thing I've been motivated to do is to take a nap! haha! I got my booty in gear, wrote this post, and I'm so excited, because I'm sharing my new go-to Holiday makeup look. I'm giving you all the details at the end of my post!

I have never really been a red lipstick gal until I found this perfect red from Urban Decay. It's so perfect that it makes your teeth look whiter! Hollah! Also, I'm happy to say that this is a pretty affordable makeup look. About half of the products are prestige and half are drugstore, but the ones that are a little more pricey ($40 or less) last forever, so you are truly getting your money's worth.

Let's just jump right in! I applied my It Cosmetics CC+ Cream foundation (I have been raving about this for a while now!) & my It Cosmetics concealer (under eye & acne scars), then Tarte Shape Tape (to highlight) with the Real Techniques beauty sponge. I set my entire face with Laura Mercier TLSP. I applied my bronzer and blush as normal. I kept my skin looking as natural as possible, while still having full-coverage.

For this look, I knew that I wanted the red lippie to be the center of attention, so I opted to have my eyes as natural as can be. I started off with natural browns in the Jaclyn Hill Palette: Silk Cream, Pooter, & Mocha and made sure to blend each color out one at a time. I added the slightest amount of Central Park on the outer corner of my lid staying super low. From the Morphe 350S Palette, I used the first shade in the top left hand corner for my lid, brow highlight, inner corner highlight, cheek, and nose highlight. If you don't have both palettes on hand or only want one to save $$$, you can also use Beam and/or Enlight from the JH Palette and get a very similar look. The 350S shade is just slightly brighter and has more of a cool tone to it versus the JH shades.

Then it was time for eye liner. I used my trusty Tarte eye liner and swiped it onto an angled eye liner brush. I find that I get a more precise line when I apply my eye liner this way and it makes it easier for me to flick it out of my outer corner for a natural wing and elevated look. I applied a white NYX eye liner in my bottom waterline to brighten my eyes. I've been hooked on doing this recently and I'm loving it!

I naturally filled in my brows and didn't overdraw or darken them. I just filled them in to get a more structured shape and fill in the annoying sparse areas. To finish my eyes, I applied two coats of the L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer and two coats of the mascara. I have a $$$ saving kit linked for you down below! These two together give me better lashes than my Lancome primer & Better than Sex Mascara and they are a fraction of the cost! I think I might have found my most favorite dupe ever!

To finish this look, I lined and filled my lips with a natural nude color from NYX (choose one for your natural lip color) and then applied my Vice Liquid Lipstick in the shade Crimson. Crimson is currently back in stock! But in case it sells out again, there are two other gorgeous reds that are also in-stock that look pretty identical (714 & Rapid). I am just obsessed with the Vice Liquid Lip line and have four colors that I wear constantly. I love that they are smooth on the lips and don't dry them out either! As a bonus, they stay on forever (even through meals & coffee) and are on sale--50% off! Lastly, I sprayed my entire face with Urban Decay Setting spray so that my makeup will look beautiful, longer.

There ya have it! My go-to Holiday makeup look that I will be sure to rock all throughout this Holiday season. What's your go-to makeup look?! Would you wear this makeup look? Do you have any application questions?! Let me know in the comments.
