A special thanks to Kenra Professional for sending me their best-selling hair products in exchange for styling. Another special thanks to Traffic for sending me darling block heels in exchange for styling.

As we've gotten into the dead of winter, it's hard to put on anything other than cozy sweaters and leggings. When I feel inspired to get all glam, a dress and a gorgeous hairstyle is always the way to go! Looking back, I totally should have worn my tights for this photoshoot, but it was an oddly warm day and didn't need them! Definitely wear a pair of tights now that it's been averaging less than thirty degrees the past few weeks.

I ended up wearing this dress for Christmas Eve, because I sang on my church's worship team. We had five services, and there were thousands of people that walked through the doors. So amazing! After every service, so many people came up to me saying they loved my dress, which of course made me even more obsessed with it!

In order to achieve my hairstyle, I'm chatting about some of my new favorite products that helped me moisturize, curl, volumize, and set my hairstyle. I'll also give you a quick step-by-step tutorial so that you can copy it if you'd like. I promise, it's so super easy!

Winter Dress & Velvet Block Heels //

When I first saw this dress, I fell in love and just had to have it. My biggest recommendation is size down. I ended up sizing down two dress sizes. For size reference, I am 5'2" and wearing a size 0. This dress is stunning and the perfect wardrobe addition for the winter. Another little tip, when you're wearing a low cut dress, invest in fashion tape like this one in order to secure your dress down so that it won't gap and flash the world your goods. I'm also wearing this layered necklace from Express!

Who says you can't wear open toed shoes in the winter-time?! Some days we get luckier than others and there's slightly warmer weather that we can rock heels like these. Other days it's a bit colder, so wear tights and you're still good to go! These are from Traffic, and I just love the gold bauble detail on the ankle and toe straps. They're the perfect mix of punk and classy, so they will go with just about any outfit!

This shampoo feels simply amazing. It helps replenish the moisture in dry, damaged hair and leaves it feeling super soft. It also improves the manageability of coarse, textured hair. For me, it made my dry ends much, much softer and smoother. It is also safe for color treated hair.

Just like the shampoo, this conditioner is safe for color treated hair, replenishes moisture and improves manageability, but it also improves elasticity as well! It also adds a healthy-looking shine to your hair. I have naturally curly hair and it works perfectly!

I have been loving this product. Before, I used to be super bad and forget to use a heat protectant before blow drying my hair or styling. Ever since I received this product, I haven't forgotten to use it, because it smells amazing and adds so much body and fullness to my hair while I'm blow drying & styling. My hair is extremely flat if I just let it go on its own, so any product that gives my hair a lift is a product for me. So, while giving you thermal protection up to 460℉ (232℃), it will give you the ultimate styling control, tame your fly aways, and enhance your hair's natural shine through it's lightweight formula.

Just like the Kenra Perfect Blowout 5, it provides thermal protection up to 460℉ (232℃). Though it's a mousse, it won't cause stiffness or stickiness. It will condition your hair, tame your fly aways, and hold your hairstyle. What could be better?!

I know I'm not the only one that lives for dry shampoo. I loathe washing my hair, so I've been leaning on this product daily. It will instantly refresh your hair at the root, and absorb oil & impurities. One thing that stood out to me about the formula is it's translucent, so it won't leave a pesky white residue on your roots. If you're like me, you'll also spray a little all over just to freshen your hair, make it smell extra good, help with styling, plus, give a mini volume boost.

Glam Hairstyle Tutorial //

Step One //

Step Two //
Brush your hair thoroughly. Apply a dime size dollop of Kenra Perfect Blowout 5 all throughout your hair, then brush through your hair once more. Blow dry your hair as normal.

*Pro Tip: Flip your hair upside down and blow dry your roots to help add volume to your hair!

Step Three //
Curl your hair as normal, being sure to curl away from your face. To achieve the same size curls that I have, I used a 1 inch wand and wrapped and curled 1 inch sections of hair at a time.

Step Four //
Squirt a small amount of Kenra Volume Mousse Extra 17 onto your fingertips. Rub your fingers together and apply the smallest amount at your roots. I've found that it gives me a little extra texture at my roots and I'm able to tease my hair and the style and volume will stay.

Step Five //
Spray a small amount of Kenra Volume Dry Shampoo at your roots and throughout your hair for added volume and to make it smell so good! This is perfect for day two and three hair.

Step Six //
Pull back the top sections of hair (about two inches above your ears) and pull it back into a half-up hairstyle. On one side, release about 1 inch of hair. Your hair will be slightly lopsided, but don't worry, we'll fix that in a second! Secure your hair at the back of your head with bobby pins.

Step Seven //
On the side that you released the 1 inch of hair, take that hair and give it a tight braid. Once you've braided that section, secure the bottom with a rubberband. (Honestly, I use my lips for this step!) Loosen your braid and pull it apart to make it appear larger and slightly messier. Once you've loosened your braid, secure it in the back of your hair using a bobby pin.

That's it for this hairstyle! It's so simple. It usually takes me fifteen minutes to curl my hair and just a few minutes to secure my hair in bobby pins. I also use a small mirror to reflect into a larger mirror to double check my bobby pin placement to make sure it looks perfect from behind!

If you're wanting to try the Kenra Professional hair products, you can purchase them at Ulta or purchase them using the direct links I have for you above. If you end up recreating this hairstyle of pick up any pieces from my outfit, I'd love to see how you style them!

Have you ever tried any of these Kenra hair products?! Let me know in the comments.
