Smoothie bowls have been the talk of the town recently and there's good reason! They are absolutely delicious and they can be jam packed with ingredients to help you live a healthier lifestyle. I'm a regular smoothie drinker, especially when I am on the go in the morning, but when I have a few extra minutes in the morning, I love making a smoothie bowl.
Today, I'm sharing with you my go-to berry banana smoothie bowl recipe that is full of fruit and yummy goodness. Something that makes smoothie bowls so unbelievably yummy is that it's more than just having a smoothie for breakfast. You of course get the extra sweetness from the sliced banana & strawberries, but there's also the crunch of the almonds and the texture from the oats.
Ingredients //
1 1/2 bananas
5-7 strawberries
1 serving Plant-Based Protein Powder (optional)
8-10 Ice Cubes
Handful of Almond Slivers
Handful of Oats
How To Make //
One // Wash strawberries & peel bananas
Two // Into your blender, add 1 banana, 5 strawberries, 1 serving vegetable based protein powder, 1 cup So Delicious Dairy Free Organic Almondmilk, and 8-10 ice cubes.
*With a smoothie bowl, you want it to be thicker than a normal smoothie. Add ice cubes until it has a soft serve ice cream texture. You can also use frozen fruit and not need as much ice, but I prefer fresh fruits. Personally, I think it tastes better!
Three // Pour your smoothie into a bowl.
Four // Top with 1/2 banana, 2 sliced strawberries, a handful of oats & a handful of almond slivers.
Five // Grab a spoon & enjoy!
Making a smoothie bowl like this every morning will not only help you jumpstart your day, but you will feel so much better--ready to take on anything that comes your way. The most important thing to remember while making your smoothie bowl is to pay close attention to the ingredients you are putting in it.
I chose to use wholesome, plant-based ingredients, because I like knowing exactly what is in the food I am eating. By choosing to use So Delicious Dairy Free Organic Almondmilk, I know that it is a clean and simple almondmilk made with 7 ingredients or less. Each ingredient they use in the almondmilk has a purpose. There is nothing like it in the specialty milk category!
So Delicious Dairy Free Organic Almondmilk is certified vegan and there are no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives. Each flavor is also gluten-free, soy-free, carrageenan-free, and of course, dairy free.
Something that really stood out to me about So Delicious Dairy Free Organic Almondmilk is that the bottles are plant-based, too! The bottles are made with renewable sugarcane and at least 80% plants, which keep the almondmilk fresh to the last drop.
