Can we just admire the fact that there are already leaves on the sidewalk, the leaves are changing colors, and it's been in the sixties this week! Even though it's going to be raining for the next week straight, I can't help but get excited that it finally feels like fall. I'm hoping that the ninety degree days are a thing of the past, and we can enjoy our sweater weather and PSL's.
This past weekend, Chris and I went to the Blues Festival in our town, and there were so many amazing artists from the community and all over that came together to make it possible. Honestly, my favorite part had to be the food trucks...I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in food. From funnel cakes, mac and cheese in a bread cone (Yes, you read that right!! It was freaking delish!), my very first Falafel Gyro (which was amazing), and tons of snacks in between, I ate pretty much non-stop.
It was the perfect way to spend my Saturday off from work, and I spent it in style. No joke, ten minutes before we had to leave to run a very important errand to Starbucks, my cardigan from Mia's Cove arrived on my doorstep! I was so excited that I ripped my package open and ran upstairs to completely changed my outfit just so I could wear it.
This cardigan is so soft, and it kept me warm even at night when the temperature dropped into the upper fifties. I just love the way it fits and frames my body. It's the perfect length--not too long or short, and it doesn't overwhelm my petite figure. For sizing reference, I'm 5'2" and I'm wearing a small. A long sweater cardigan is a definite must have for this season. They're super trendy and this particular cardigan is functional, because y'all, it has pockets!!! I'm pretty sure that makes anything ten times better. haha!
When I was thinking about how I wanted to style this long cardi, I kept it more on the casual side and paired it with black distressed denim, black booties, my favorite white scallop cami (that I probs wear way too much), and my black fedora hat. When I was originally deciding what hat to wear, I had a black floppy hat on, but I felt that the fedora style just fit the festival theme a little better.
