FALL TREND ALERT || THE MUST-HAVE UTILITY JACKET

It's almost mid-September, and I am embracing all-things fall. From pumpkin spice lattes, leopard print, and stripes, I love it all. I can't wait for it to get cool enough to head out apple picking, go to the pumpkin patch, the winery, and enjoy the gorgeous skies & sunsets. The fall is always busy for us with birthdays and then glorious Thanksgiving, but it's also one of my favorite times of the year, because I get to see my family more often.

I can't wait for October, because Chris & I will be heading home for the weekend to see my family for my Dad's work picnic. We've attended this picnic pretty much every year since I can remember, and this year will be the first time we're going and he's retired!

If you know anything about me, even if the event is a month away, I'm already thinking about what I want to wear! Whether you're headed out apple picking or to a fall picnic, this utility jacket outfit is perfect! I can't get enough of it--the utility jacket is so versatile and can be paired with so many outfits.

For today's look, I just wanted to pair it with denim and a striped top. I mean, can you get any more fall than that? During the fall, I love dressing in layers, because you never know if it's going to be a chilly day or a scorcher. Dressing in layers prepares you no matter what temperature it will be. Something that I love about this utility jacket in particular is that it's super lightweight--definitely the perfect summer to fall transition piece.

I have a feeling that I'll be wearing it non-stop. On top of this outfit, I've also paired it with a black T-shirt dress, and I got so many compliments at work. It's such an easy piece to style, and it will never go out of style. The possibilities are truly endless for what you can pair with a utility jacket.
