BOUNCY CURLS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Happy Holi-Yays!! I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner. My Christmas shopping is far from being finished, and I haven't even thought about what I'm going to wear on Christmas Day--let alone pack for my week vacation during the Holidays! There is one thing that I've thought ahead on though--my hair! I've been working on keeping it healthy & shiny so that it can grow, grow, grow. I've also discovered a few new-to-me products that you're bound to love as much as I do!

In today's post, I'm sharing a few products that have helped give me bouncy curls that are perfect for the Holidays! Take a look at the before & after photo below, and if that doesn't look like a Christmas miracle, I don't know what will!

Usually the night before I curl my hair, I wash & condition my hair, add a detangling spray, and brush thoroughly. I usually don't blow dry my hair since it has all night to naturally dry, and this also saves my hair from double the heat!

The Revlon Extra Large Paddle Brush helps me effortlessly detangle my hair, and the IONIC TECHNOLOGY® infused bristles help dry hair fast while retaining moisture and also helps to reduce frizz! This brush is best on medium to long hair, and is perfect for everyday use. It's also a great tool for brushing out your curls once you're finished curling your hair so that your curls are bouncier and more modern-looking.

The Revlon Perfect Heat 1" Curling Iron has three layers of ceramic coating to protect your hair from over-styling and has even heat distribution throughout the barrel so that your hair can be styled quickly for less damage. The 1" barrel is perfect for medium curls to waves and is ideal for medium to long hair.

One thing that I really love about this curling iron is that it has 30 heat settings so that you can pick the setting that is right for your hair type and texture. Most hair curlers I've used in the past have one hair setting, so it's nice to be able to adjust it accordingly. The highest heat setting goes all the way up to 400℉ for faster styling and optimal results, if you so choose to use that setting!

Pin Me For Later!

If you're usually in a hurry in the morning to either curl all of your hair or do a day two (or three!) touch up, then you'll be happy to know that it has a 30 second fast heat up and an auto shut-off for those days you were in such a rush you forget to turn off your curler.

A few other things that I noticed was that the swivel cord never gets tangled, so I can style quickly without any hassle! I'll admit, and it's kind of funny--I almost forgot how to use a traditional curling iron when I first started testing this product out, because I had been so used to using a wand! Once I got myself back in the swing of things (curling your hair is way easier than riding a bike!), I was able to create gorgeous curls. I even curled them in different directions, and this created an even more bouncy look!

If you do a lot of traveling during the Holidays, you'll also want to grab a pack of the Revlon Maximum Hold Extra Thick Elastics. I've never had such a thick elastic before, and my life is changed! They're great for putting your hair in a messy bun for lazy hair days or putting your hair in a classy pony! There's no pulling and they stay put--which is a must-have for me.
