MAKEOVER MONDAY WITH TRISH MCEVOY + GIVEAWAY

A special thanks to Trish McEvoy in the King of Prussia Mall for sponsoring this post. All opinions are mine alone.

If there's one thing I love, it's trying out new skincare and makeup! Just the other weekend, I had the opportunity to head to Nordstrom in the King of Prussia Mall, here in eastern Pennsylvania, for a luxurious spa and makeup transformation. It's been about two years since someone has done my makeup, and my friend, Larissa, is one of the only people I trust!

I knew that I was heading in for a makeover, but this was beyond my expectations--so luxurious, relaxing, and just wait until I show you some of the amazing products she used on my skin! I'll start with some of my favorite skincare items, and then I'll chat about some of my top favorite makeup products Larissa used on me.

First, she started with a warm towel hand massage with the Trish McEvoy Body Polish Sugar Scrub. Oh my goodness, was this heavenly. In the wintertime, my hands (and skin!) get so dry--this scrub made my hands feel so soft, and it helped gently exfoliate away dead skin cells--revealing soft and glowy skin.

Next, we used the Trish McEvoy Eye Masks, to help give my tired under eyes a brighter, more awake appearance. Larissa also used a Correct and Brighten Weekly Peel, which helped to reduce redness, brighten, soften, and condition my skin.

Lastly, and definitely one of my favorites, she used Beauty Booster Oil, which helped my skin look more supple, feel hydrated, and the algae extract in its formula encourages firmer skin. You'll definitely have to check out our mini video at the end of this post where Larissa shows you an awesome way to use this oil while applying your makeup!

Once your skin is cleansed and prepped, it's time for my favorite part--makeup! A few years ago, Larissa and I were both managers at another makeup store, and I learned so many amazing tips and tricks from her, so I knew that I was going to learn even more during this makeover!

Most of the makeup (aside from two items!) are included in the Power of Makeup Carpe Diem Planner. One of the things I love the most about the Trish McEvoy planners (aside from the fact that the products are amazing!!) is that they are perfect for travel and everything you need for a full face of makeup can fit in the planner.

We started with a gorgeous eye look. For a while now, I hadn't used an eye base, but this planner comes with one, and I don't know why I stopped using one! The eye palette included in the planner has four gorgeous shades--Snow, which is used for inner corner/base, a matte cranberry, a shimmery white gold (which is on my lids!), and a defining Nutmeg color, which is perfect for the outer edge. Something that Larissa did was use a little of the included exclusive bronzer as a transition color on my lid, and I've been doing that at home, too!

Larissa kept my eye shadow on the natural side, because a lot of her clients are hard-working ladies who want a quick and easy five-minute routine. Now that I have this amazing planner at home, I add a little more of the cranberry color in my crease, which helps my hazel eyes pop!

On the skin, to prep for my foundation, she used both the Instant Eye Lift and the Line Refiner, which are both in the Planner! The Instant Eye Lift helps brighten under the eyes, and the line refiner is amazing, because it helps your makeup from creasing in those tough fine line areas around your eyes, mouth, and forehead.

The foundation she used is a Beauty Balm with 35SPF, which gives a medium to full-coverage look with a matte finish. This is one of the items not included in the planner, but it's so worth having. It primes, brighten, hydrates, and even helps control oil. As someone with combination skin, this was a huge bonus for me.

As we went through the remaining products in the planner, she gave my skin a gorgeous glow with the Matte Bronzer & Light and Lift Blush. She also used a little of the setting powder to reduce shine and set my makeup.

The other item that is not included in the planner but used was a liquid Luminzor that I am obsessed with! It doesn't break down your makeup at all, and you are able to use it after applying bronzer, blush, and setting powder, because the makeup products are all a creamy, easy-to-blend texture.

Last but not least, we gave my lips a little color with the Beauty Booster Lip and Cheek Color Pink. In my video tutorial, you'll see how Larissa uses it with my favorite oil to give my cheeks a little more color and glow. I have gotten so many compliments on this lip color, and it is very comfortable on the lips, too!
