SPRING MASTER BEDROOM REFRESH

I will forever be dreaming of warmer weather & springtime, so I thought what better way to start preparing for Spring than giving the master bedroom a little refresh. As much as I love my plaid sheets, fur blankets, and winter decor, I was more than ready to make things a little lighter & brighter. As sad as I am to say, this will also be most likely the last time I redecorate our bedroom in this house. Fun things are coming, so stay tuned! ;)

For today's post, I'll be sharing a few ways that you can give your home a spring refresh, whether it's your master bedroom, living room, or anywhere you feel. First things first. If you're giving your master bedroom a refresh, you have to change the sheets! Get rid of those heavy sheets and get yourself a nice linen set. I just purchased this sheet set for under $20 on clearance! If you have to decorate your home on a budget, the clearance rack will be your best friend. There's no shame in getting things on discount; you just have to be selective in the items that you choose to purchase. Don't just buy things because they are on sale, buy them because you genuinely love them and they fit in with your home decor style.

I still kept my heavy comforter on the bed, because as much as I'd like it to be warmer, winter is still in full force here in Eastern PA. At least the comforter is white & bright! The next things to update or switch out are your pillows! I love, love my blush pink fur pillows, and I found a longer pillow that perfectly matched our style and our colors. Now's the time to swap out your fur throws for lighter-weight blankets or even a cozy knit throw that fits with your new spring color theme.

Your bed is the heart of your bedroom. It's most likely the largest piece of furniture in your bedroom, so you want to make sure you've decorated it well. Once you're happy with the way it looks, you can move on to the rest of the room and add in more personal touches and smaller decor elements.

On my husband's nightstand, I added a faux greenery plant to give it a more masculine touch over my white rose bunch. He's not one for a lot of decor on his nightstand, so I try to keep it super simple and minimalistic for him.

In my past home decor posts, you've seen my gold shelves styled, but since they are in our bedroom currently, they serve a purpose more than decor. I have my office supplies, printer, notebooks, paperwork, and binders galore on them, but of course, they have to be styled! I added things from our wedding to the shelves that I didn't utilize for office purposes.

One of my favorite shelves has some of my favorite coffee table books. I'm a sucker for these books and I may or may not have a problem...every time I go to a home decor store, you know a new one is going to come home with me!

My vanity is my happy place. For another six months or so, it will be serving as my desk and vanity. Hopefully, I'll be able to share more details on what's coming next for us soon!! Hint, hint! But that's all I'll say about that.

On my vanity, I try to keep it minimalistic. I keep my makeup brushes in a marble holder, but I moved it to fit my gorgeous flowers. I had been wanting to get a bouquet of flowers for the longest time, because I think they just add so much more to a room than a faux flower. I don't buy real flowers that often, but when you see a perfectly gorgeous bouquet on sale for six bucks, you can't resist!

Now onto my favorite part of my refresh. It's truly made a huge difference in our space. The reason I didn't show you the one side of our room is it's full of Lilly's (our kitty) supplies. I don't think you want to see a litter box. haha! For us, because we are renting in our friend's home for a few more months, we have to put the litter box in our bedroom, and it can be stinky at times.
Whether you have a litter box in your home, stinky children (or husbands, haha!!), or simply want your home to smell fresher, I have the perfect and easiest solution for you!
