LEOPARD PRINT IN THE SPRINGTIME

Jun 19, 2019

I'm forever-loving the leopard print trend. I am so happy that it came back a little early this year and debuted in the springtime. Normally leopard print is saved for the early fall, but trending brands are bringing it back now, and it's been a hit.

I love neutrals, and leopard is something that can be carried into each and every season. I just love how versatile the print is--whether styled casual or dressy, it's an everlasting print.

When I first saw this leopard print dress, I was worried that it was going to be a bit wide on me, even in my normal size, XS. The awesome thing about this dress is it has a tie in the front, which cinches the waist to give a form-fitting look. Instead of tying it in a traditional bow, tie it in a Lilly Pulitzer knot...aka over itself so that it's straight out. It's over & under and then under & over.

The sleeves are to die for. They are a flutter sleeve and the dress is a high-neck style with a mini ruffle. I know a lot of people don't like high-neck anything during the summertime, but the fabric is so light and breathable, that it's perfect even in 80* weather.

Another thing I have to talk about are these gorgeous bobby pins!! I haven't gotten any of the big pearl clips yet, but I figured that these pearl & crystal bobby pins would be a good start to ease into the trend. What do you think of the trend?! The more & more I wear them, the more I'm loving them.

When I was shooting for this post, I had three in, and as I'm typing today, I have in one with my hair kind of swooped to the side. I'm loving the way it looks, and they come in a set of four, so you can mix & match for more or less bling!
