MY $8 MAKEUP SECRET TO LONG-LASTING MAKEUP

Raise your hand if you've spent $20, $30, $40, $50+ on a setting powder? 🙋 What if I told you there was an $8, yes, an EIGHT dollar setting powder that works better than any of the high-priced ones?! It's kind of crazy to think about it--an eight dollar product works better than a high-priced setting powder.

Over the years, I've tried so many samples, full-sized PR samples, and have purchased my own, spending hundreds of dollars to find something that will help my makeup last longer than all of five seconds in the heat of the summer. I received the Revolution Banana Powder last year in a PR box when I did a collaboration with Ulta Beauty, and I have been using it ever since!

I have tried to go back to my others just to use them up, and no lie, I can't even get through the day without having to touch my makeup up. The Revolution Banana powder sets my skin so flawlessly, it lasts all day and helps to smooth the appearance of my skin, too.

In order for me to get a perfect makeup application, I start by using my tried & true Olay Whip moisturizer followed by a primer (right now I've been loving this one by Becca!), then I apply my favorite foundation using a damp beauty sponge. I will then conceal any blemishes, under my eyes, and around my nose using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye. Once all of my liquid products have been applied and blended, it's time for the magic to happen!

I will sprinkle a little bit of the Revolution Banana Powder onto a tissue, dab my beauty blender into the setting powder, and then gently press the product into my skin. No lie, it always gives me the perfect set, even around my nose and chin. Those two areas are always such a huge issue for me, and I love knowing that my makeup will still be on my nose halfway through the day.

You can even use the Revolution Banana Powder to help sharpen your contour, tone down your blush if you went a little too heavy-handed, or even help keep fallout off of your under eyes while doing your makeup. Simply just pack on the banana powder under your eyes, apply your shadows, blend, and brush away the setting powder with a clean brush! This way your undereye still stays nice and bright, but your eye shadows are perfectly blended.

It also comes in several shades. The banana shade works for me when I'm super fair and when I use self-tanner, however, if you have a tan to deeper skin tone, you might want to use the color Peach (for tan to dark skin tones) or Deep Dark (for deep skin tones).

You have to let me know when you try it--I just know it's going to be a huge game changer for you, especially in the summertime. If you've tried it before, tell me your thoughts!!
