Raise your hand if you love mixing prints! 🙋 I have always been a fashion rule breaker and I love, love to mix patterns and prints. Give me leopard and stripes all summer long, floral and stripes, and my new love, camo & leopard. I don't know why I love them together. Maybe because it's like an abstract version of stripes & polka dots, but the two together sing to my heart.
It took me a little bit to get into the camo trend, because I grew up in the country...and I mean the country (it took 30+ min to get to the nearest Walmart), so I was surrounded by camo my entire life. I went back home a couple of weeks for my sister's bachelorette party, and I hung out with my bestie, and we went into Target, and I had to get this shirt. She was telling me about how she literally just bought a camo shirt a few days prior, so I had to be twinsies with her.
I feel like camo is going to be one of my go-to neutrals this fall. When it's not ninety degrees out, I'll add a tan cardigan to complete the look! For my shoes, I actually picked these up with my bestie as well. I may or may not have squealed a little bit when I saw them!! I have needed new leopard flats because I've worn out two pairs of Steve Madden flats so that there's basically nothing left of it.
It was time to get a new pair, and I found these at Marshall's--best Marshall's find ever! They have a mini 1/2 inch heel, and they're super comfy. They did take a bit to break in, but that's with any shoe for me anymore.
For this outfit, I paired it with dark wash denim. At LOFT, there's a new style of denim--High Waisted & I'm obsessed with them. They are made with sustainable denim, and they are so soft! I need to get a dark wash version of them. I only have the lighter wash, and I feel like they would have looked just as good, if not better than this pair of denim.
