Hey y'all! It's been a little while since I've done an updated skincare routine. For the most part, over the last year, I have used the same products every morning and night. I have finally found products that work for me and have helped my skin stay clear, look healthy, and stay hydrated.
I have combination skin, so I have to cater to both oily skin and super dry skin. My nose and t-zone get extremely oily, while around my lips, mouth, and cheeks get extremely dry--especially in the fall/winter months.
Today, I'll briefly touch on some of the skincare I use to cleanse my skin/prep it for my nighttime skincare routine, but I want those products to be the highlight because they have been a huge game-changer for me lately.

When I'm taking off my makeup at night, I use my tried & true Olay Daily Facials. I have written so many blog posts about them, and they honestly are the best makeup remover ever. They melt away your eye makeup and effortlessly remove any makeup--including waterproof mascara and liquid lipsticks. Once my skin is completely clean, I'll use a cleanser. I go back and forth with a few cleaners, but for the last six months or so, I've been using Clarisonic Pore & Blemish Gel Cleanser with my Clarisonic Mia. This dynamic duo has kept my skin clear as ever!
Once my skin is completely clean, it's ready for some lovely skincare products. I don't tone my skin at night, however, every morning I will use Pixi Glow Tonic to gently exfoliate my skin before applying my makeup.
At night, the first thing I do is allow my skin to completely dry after my shower and/or cleansing my face. Once a week, I give my skin a really great exfoliation with my PMD aka Personal Microderm Pro tool. It helps remove dead skin cells, especially where I am dry. It also helps to smooth out my skin and this allows my makeup to go on even smoother.
Next is for all-things serums and oils. I am all for oils, but only at nighttime. The first thing I apply for my skincare concoction is Sunday Riley Good Genes Serum. Good Genes is a lactic acid treatment, which helps to gently exfoliate the skin, brighten, add radiance, and soothe the skin. Its good-for-you ingredients give you noticeable results that you can feel great about.
*If you are pregnant or nursing, I do not recommend this product for you. Lactic acid is not good to use during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor before using!

If you have combination skin like I do, I might have to use two different moisturizers--one for your oily t-zone and another for your dry areas. For me, those two are my lovely Olay Whips for my t-zone and Josie Maran Argan Oil for my dry patches. In combining these two together, I have noticed that my skin is less dry and oily when I wake up.
On my lippies, I will sometimes add a little of the leftover argan oil on my lips, because they get so dry all year long. I will also add a layer of Palmer's Vitamin E Balm. I got this lip balm a few months ago in a box from InfluenceHer Collective, and ever since then, I've been using it non-stop. My liquid lipsticks go on so much smoother now, too!
Last but not least, it's time to take care of your body. I have been loving the Wen Ultra Nourishing Intensive Body Treatment. Not only does it smell amazing, but it also gives the perfect amount of moisture to the skin.
