HOLIDAY TABLESCAPE INSPIRATION

A special thanks to Wayfair for sponsoring today's post.

'Tis the season for holiday parties and holiday decor. It's my favorite time of year, because I love any excuse to host a party, and there's just something so magical about getting together with family and friends during the holidays. Y'all know why I love hosting so much, right?! Obviously, it's to spend time with those that are closest to us, but the decor takes a very close second.

This is the first of three posts that I will be sharing in partnership with Wayfair throughout the holidays, and I'm so excited to share bits and pieces of our home and a little inspiration for you this holiday season. Up first, is our Holiday Tablescape

This year, I wanted to create a beautiful Christmas tablescape, that was simple to put together with a toddler and best of all, the centerpiece can stay on the table throughout the season! If you decorate with a toddler or kiddos of any age around, you know that anything breakable is a huge no. I did opt to go with glass plates and wine glasses, but those will be attended to while in use, and everything in the centerpiece is safe for tiny hands to get ahold of.

I started off with a classic Christmas plaid runner that has matching napkins. I then put a gorgeous faux juniper garland down the center in a slight wave to be able to add candles. I opted for a little height with the candles. They're flameless candles in gold candle stick holders and flameless pillar candles. Flameless candles are wonderful and they look so realistic. The lights flicker to create the illusion of a real flame. One thing I love about the candle stick holders is number one the color of gold is to die for, and second, the varied height still allows you to see all guests seated around the table without blocking your view! No one likes a tablescape where you can't see your friends and family across the table.

For my place settings, I chose to use a classic white plate accented with a Christmas salad plate and a plaid napkin in between them for an added touch of elegance. I love how a fabric napkin adds so much classiness without being hard or expensive. The flatware I chose has been on my wishlist for a really long time. Gold flatware feels so classy to me, and the set I found on Wayfair is a set for 8 and has serving ware included! The flatware gold is also the perfect gold color.

Last up, to complete my tablescape, I added simple wine glasses. Of course, you can swap them out for regular drinking glasses or have one of each! One more quick thing to mention, I got the prettiest small wreaths and I put one hanging from my bar cart with ribbon, and I love the way it adds the perfect Christmas touch.

Wayfair has everything you need to create a beautiful tablescape and decorate your home for the holidays. Stay tuned throughout the holiday season as I decorate a couple more spaces for the holidays. I can't wait to show you the next two spaces, because, on top of getting decked out for the holidays, they're getting a major facelift, too! Hint: Our biggest DIYs are about to start this weekend, and we can't wait to share them with you!
