Our guest bedroom has never felt cozier than it does right now. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working little by little to update our guest bedroom. If you’ve followed along for a while, you’ll remember the accent wall was floor-to-ceiling white vertical boards, and something about it felt off to me. No matter what art or photos we’d put, I was never ✨in love✨ with the way it looked.
One day, I woke up tired of it enough to change it completely. We cut the boards down into a high chair rail, added a cap board and trim, and it already changed the space SO much. We also added crown molding in the whole room (in all of our bedrooms, actually!!) and then I tackled my first wallpaper DIY, and I’m officially obsessed!
It completely transformed the space and it was done during nap times and at night after work.
To pull the space completely together for the holidays, my friends at Wayfair helped me cozy up the room with blankets, throw pillows, and a gorgeous new rug that I cannot wait to see on the new hardwood floors.
With every new upgrade and project, Wayfair has exactly what I need to finish the space to turn this house even more into a home we love. Our guest bedroom is unofficially my parent's room when they come to visit, but when I designed this upgraded space, I thought ahead knowing it will eventually be Bentley's big boy room!
