Over the weekend, I welcomed year 24 with good food and the best of friends. On my actual birthday, which was Friday, Chris and I went to dinner to Olive Garden and celebrated with pasta and pumpkin cheesecake. On Saturday, my bestie, Summer from Coffee with Summer and her hubby, Mike, came to visit for the day. We went to the most darling winery on the countryside for a wine tasting, and of course we couldn't leave without taking tons of pictures. We're both bloggers with the best blogger hubs ever. Would you expect anything less?! haha!
I had never gone to a winery before, so I thought that it would be the perfect place for birthday celebrations. We sipped four different wines in a wood barn that overlooked a wooded area full of fall foliage. I absolutely loved the white sangria and it had just the right amount of sweetness. If you're in the Philadelphia area, Grace Winery in Glen Mills, PA, is the perfect place to visit for an afternoon. What inspired you to start your blog?
I've always had a love for style, beauty, and home decor. In college, I wanted a way to share all of my style & beauty secrets, so I started the original A Classy Fashionista site. On top of style & beauty, I want my blog to be a place that inspires others to embrace their creativity and to be a place that cultivates positive community for my readers. In February when I quit my full-time job, I had dreams of blogging full-time and I was determined to make that happen. Through hard work and countless sleepless nights as I worked for hours on end, my dream was made into a reality and the A Classy Fashionista blog that you know now was born. So, if you've been with me from the start in 2014, sorry for all of my iPhone pictures. ;) If you're a new reader to ACF, I'm so glad you're here and I hope that you're inspired in one way or another.
What highlighter do you use?
For the longest time, I was using different radiances from Bare Minerals. When the Jaclyn Hill palette came out, I actually started using the two lightest colors, Enlight & Beam mixed together for the perfect highlight color.
What is something significant you learned about yourself/life this year?
This year I learned so many life lessons. Through each life adventure from quitting my full-time job to getting married, to blogging full-time, I think the most significant thing that I learned through it all was to stay true to my heart and follow my dreams. For too long, I was staying in situations because I thought I had to stay at my full-time job, even though I was miserable and so desperately wanted to start my blog. Following your heart and making your dreams come true takes a ginormous leap of faith and it will scare you to death at some points, but it's completely worth it.

What's your favorite natural-looking lip color?
My new favorite lip color is the NYX Lip Liner // Ever. It's a dupe for Bare Minerals Gen Nude // On Point. On me, it's the perfect mauve and I can pair it with almost any lip color--nude or statement. I just wrote this post on all of my recent lip favs.
What foundation do you wear?
I've been obsessing over It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination Cream. I've been wearing it for about three months. I can get a pretty full coverage with it and my skin is the perfect amount of glowy goodness.
What curling iron do you use?
I use this curling iron by Sutra. I ended up getting conned into buying one at the mall one day and it was totally worth the money! This curling iron only has one heat setting and it is really hot, but it makes curling my hair go super quickly. Something that I love about it is I feel as if it almost smooths out my hair, gives it a healthy shine, and helps prevent frizz, because it's a ceramic wand. I can't claim that for everyone, but that's just how it works on my hair.
What camera do you use and who takes your pictures?
I use this camera by Canon and I absolutely love it. It's currently on sale in case you are in the market for a new camera. It's perfect for beginner photographers and if you don't want to spend a ton of money on a good quality camera. I use this lens for the majority of my pictures and I just love how crisp they turn out. I take all of my stock photos, flat lays, and food pictures, but anything that is a picture of me, my hubby turns into the best blogger hubby ever and takes them.
