I've been obsessing over blush lately, it's taking over my Instagram feed, and I #cantstopwontstop wearing it. I know it's technically a little early to be thinking about spring, but next month is officially the start of spring, so we're close enough, right?!😉 Plus, it's totally brightening up the dreary, cold winter days. For today's post, I'm giving you a little winter to spring transition outfit inspiration.
Blush is just such a feminine color and this year, it will be my most worn neutral. I'm officially claiming blush as a neutral this year, because it truly goes with so much and you can style it in so many different ways. With this look, I went for a more cozy casual look with a pop of color with my necklace!
This particular poncho is so stinkin' cozy, and it has a touch of a cable knit pattern and fringe! I had gotten this as a gift from a friend a few years ago, and I still wear it each and every year. Something that is really important to me when buying a sweater, cardi, or poncho is the material and the feel of the material. If it's scratchy, I want no part of it and this poncho is quite the opposite. It's really soft to the touch and feels like you're wearing a blanket without feeling bulky!
Since I've been wearing more neutrals lately, I wanted to add in a pop of color. This necklace is the perfect accent of color and adds in a new texture, too! You can totally wear any statement necklace that you have, just add in a pop of color--I just know it will look amazing! While you can see my lip color, I have to give you details on it. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already heard me rave about how amazing the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips are. They are extremely pigmented, super smooth and creamy, and they last forever! I had worn one of the MatteLast lips to my hubby's work party a few weekends ago, and it lasted all night through chatting, eating, and drinking. It not once pieced funny, flaked, or moved! For only $14, you seriously can't go wrong. It's my most favorite drugstore lippie ever!
If you want to wear blush every single day (lol cause same), but want it to be more of an accent color, a blush crossbody is the perfect way to go! I got this bag two years ago, and Michael Kors still makes it. Mine is the studded version, but I linked the classic Selma at the end of the post for you! It holds a lot more than you think it would, too! I can fit my full-sized wallet, keys, phone, sunnies, and the millions of lippies I bring with me everywhere and still have room!
