MARCH GOALS + SPRING OFF THE SHOULDER TOP

Mar 1, 2018

Another month in the books for 2018, but what a month it was. February brought new adventures and a clear vision for me for the year. I started off the year unsure of where I wanted to go with my life, but I've been so inspired and motivated to keep on pressing on and how beautiful of an adventure it's been. It definitely hasn't been all roses and PR packages, but things are starting to pick up, and I'm so excited for this year!

Let's dive into goals for the month!

February Goals Recap //

Personal Goals

One // Pay down $1,000 in debt

Well, I didn't hit this goal...at all. A lot of my campaigns that were supposed to pay out this month were delayed, and so unfortunately, I won't get paid until next week. I'll get it this month!

Two // Secure a place to live

So after all of the drama last month with our apartment complex, we've made the tough decision to stay where we are. Unless by some miracle something falls into our lap in the next two weeks, we'll be where we are for another year. It's the not the end of the world...the neighbor has calmed down, but still super heartbreaking that we weren't able to find anything else.

Blogging Goals

One // Grow my New Facebook Group

It's still growing! We're almost to 100 members in just one month!! If you'd love to continue to grow on Instagram with like-minded bloggers, join here >>> Cultivating Instagram Engagement for Bloggers

Two // Continue organically growing on Instagram

YAS! I'm still going strong. I've hit over 3,000 followers now and I'm so excited and grateful for each and every follower & supporter. If you follow me already on Instagram, this week I hinted about a secret project. It may or may not have to do with my Instagram Growth Strategies. 😉

Three // Focus on increasing Pinterest engagement & monthly viewers

Pinterest is a blogger's best friend and it continues to pull through for me! This month I hit 1.1 Million Monthly Viewers and I squealed when I finally hit that goal! Now to keep pushing on to the next goal.

March Goals //

Personal Goals

One // Continue to save $$$

Saving money will forever be a goal that Chris and I have. We're focused on saving for a house and for our future. On top of saving $$$, we are trying to pay down student loans. Only a few more years on those until they're gone. I can't wait to put that monthly payment towards something else. Soon & very soon!

Two // Practice more vocal training

In case ya didn't know, I sing on my church's worship team, and it's always been a passion to be a worship leader. When I was growing up, I always thought that I would work in a church and be a worship pastor. That didn't quite pan out the way I thought, because that's not where God has me. Long story short, I've been singing more lead and duets the past few months and my heart is so happy. I want to continue practicing so that I can be the best I can be. I've also started to get less nervous when I sing alone--there's so much pressure in front of a thousand people at a time! Haha! Either way, practice makes perfect.

Blogging Goals

One // Hit 3,750 followers on Instagram

With my current and GENUINE strategy, I should be able to hit this goal. I know that followers aren't everything, but I would like to keep growing my influence so that I am open to more opportunities.

Two // Finish & prep to launch my secret project

It's definitely going to take about another month more to get this thing to where it needs to be to launch, but I am so excited! I can't wait to share details. If you want to be the first to know details, I'll be sending out a newsletter with details! I know I've been horrible with newsletters this year--I promise I'll be sending out some soon--I just want them to be purposeful and meaningful to you so I don't spam your inbox!

If you'd like to sign up to receive my newsletters and inspiration, sign up below!

Three // Publish more style content

Now that the weather is starting to warm up a bit, it will be so much easier to take pictures outside. The winter has been brutal, and taking pictures outside has been the last thing I've wanted to do. What types of outfits are you wanting to see this spring?!

What are some of your goals for March?! Let's inspire & motivate each other!

One of my biggest goals this March is to save money as well (although it's not going that well because I'm currently traveling and I'm spending so much while shopping lol). Congratulations on your Pinterest milestone, I hope you'll reach your next milestone the soonest!

All the best to your goals this month,

Yeah, neighbor drama totally sucks, especially when you haven't found a new place to live yet. I had both neighbor and landlord drama at my last apartment complex. Everything was gravy until a new company began managing my complex. I was so upset when I had to do one more lease because my finances were rough at the time. But I'm glad I've finally moved out to a new complex, no problems here what so ever. I hope everything works out for you! And I love the top <3

I'm sorry you went through drama with your neighbours. There is nothing worse than not getting on with your neighbours. Also, growing on IG these days is so hard but organic is the way to go and I also am working on increasing engagement. I have very little followers (500) but my engagement is really high. So I want to keep working on that. I also love that top!

We had the same issue last year in September when we couldn't find a new place to move into. I was so devastated. But I am hoping that this year we get a new place because right now we live in a different town from where my boys go to school. It's been a lot of traveling.

Pinterest is also a bloggers best friend. That's where my main source of page views come from.

I love tops like this!! I have so many of them in my wardrobe haha and I haven't even started paying off student loans yet and I'm already so excited for them to be gone haha my first payment is supposed to be this month, but I may be going back to my graduate program in April so I'm hoping to put them off a bit longer. Fingers are crossed. But we killed some debt with our tax refund so at least we're taking steps in the right direction! :)
