OCTOBER CLASSY CURRENTS || STYLE & BEAUTY + GOALS

Happy October aka the best month of the year, because it's officially fall, the leaves are starting to turn, and my 25th birthday is in just a few weeks. Then, it's Halloween, which in all reality is just an excuse for me to do something extra crazy with makeup! It's definitely one of my favorite times of year-in fact, the next three months are my favorite, but they're also the busiest. From the hustle and bustle of the holiday seasons approaching to managing work, the blog, and life itself, I may or may not go insane--I'm not quite sure yet. All I know is that I will be living off of coffee and loads of Jesus the rest of the year...and well, always.

Today, I'm sharing my second edition of Classy Currents, and it's jam packed full of fall trend alerts and beauty products you've just gotta try! I'll also be sharing a couple of goals I have for myself throughout the next month.
Style //

This has by far been one of my favorite outfits to hit the blog ever! I've been wearing this cardi non-stop as well. Not only is it super comfy and cozy, it goes with so many outfits. I've paired it with a button down and denim, and also with black jeans and a blue & white striped skirt. The possibilities are endless!

Tortoiseshell Jewelry //

If it's tortoise, I'm probably buying it. I've been wearing my new tortoise earrings (no joke) with pretty much every outfit recently. There's just something about them that make my outfit feel so perfectly fall.

If you know me at all, you'll know that I'm also obsessed with leopard print. I had a pair of Steve Madden leopard print flats from over four years ago that just hit the trash can, because they literally fell apart. So, I just splurged on new ones, and I've worn them every single day to work since I've purchased them! They're super comfy, stylish, and they go with almost every outfit, because let's be honest, leopard is a neutral, always & always.

Beauty //

I've been loving GK's new Gardenia line! It smells so yummy, and it's perfect for my combination to oily skin. I've been using a toner for a couple of years now, and this one is definitely on par with my all-time favs! The facial mist is perfect to refresh your skin & makeup after a long day.

I've never been a huge fan of liquid eyeliner--mainly because it never went on smooth. Well, my go-to Too Faced BTS mascara had a 2-for-1 deal, so I decided to grab it while I was at Ulta, since it was free. I am so happy to say, I have officially found my favorite liquid eyeliner!

One could say I have an addiction to lipstick. I always have to have lipstick on, because I feel like it makes such a huge difference. Even if I don't have a lot of makeup on, I'll dab a little on my lips, and I just feel so much more put together. So, I've been grabbing my EstĂ©e Lauder Lipstick a lot more lately--especially since it's the perfect transition lippie.

If my hair is ever feeling a little lifeless and flat, I grab my LP Dry Volume Blast to fix it up a bit. Especially on day one of curling my hair, it won't have a lot of texture, so I'll add a little bit of this spray, and it adds texture, volume, and life to my hair!

Dip SNS Nails! //

If you have never tried Dip nails before, you need to! I got them done for the first time when we went to the beach for a mini vacay in August, and I have been hooked ever since! They last forever, my nails are super strong, and I get non-stop complements on them at work. My clients are always asking me for the colors as well, so I'll be sure to take a picture of the label each time I get them done!

Goals //

Personal

This month will be all about self-care and getting myself and mind into a better place. Last month I really hurt my back--so bad that I ended up in the emergency room, because I couldn't deal with the pain. After an IV, some meds, and almost a week off of work, I forced myself to feel better--even though my back still hurts like crazy. I just really need to take it easy when I'm not at work and allow my body to heal.

As far as my mental health--I've always struggled with anxiety & depression. It's not something that I've ever tried to hide here on the blog or on social media, because I know that not only are we in this together, but so many of you are inspired by my story, and that is why I will always be transparent, open, and honest with you. The past month was a pretty difficult one for me emotionally and mentally. I'm not exactly sure why, but it was. Maybe it's the extra stress and the added pressure from work & blogging, but I know that if I focus this month on myself, I'll be able to get it under control.

Blogging

Towards the end of the month, I get to take my second sponsored trip to NYC, and this time, I get to bring my hubby! I'm so, so excited and honored to be going on this trip, and I can't wait to share more with you. I'm super excited for the partnership, but I'm also so trilled to be able to travel somewhere overnight with just my hubby. We haven't done that ever as husband and wife.

During October, I'll also be focusing on prewriting more content on my days off and on nights where I get home earlier in the evening. Last month I really slacked on putting out new content, and honestly even posting on social media, and I don't want to feel disconnected like that again! I love you guys, and I want to give you as much content as I can--especially during the fall, which is my favorite style season of all!

What are some of your favorite products you've been loving lately? What about your favorite trend this fall? Also, tell me your goals for this month! Let's support each other and celebrate our wins!
