FRAMED WALLPAPER || DIY ACCENT WALL

A special thanks to ONDECOR for sponsoring this post.

Remember when I swore I wasn't going to install wallpaper for a while...or even ever again after I wallpapered our powder bathroom? Well...I kinda got obsessed with it! When ONDECOR reached out to me, I couldn't resist. I knew that I wanted to add something as an accent wall behind our bed and nightstands, but I wasn't quite sure what.

Eventually, we saw gorgeous picture moldings around and behind beds on Pinterest, and then that got me thinking...what if I framed a wallpaper panel behind each nightstand to take it up a notch! First, I painted moldings with Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray--the same color as our walls. I wanted the trim to create dimension but not take away from the wallpaper or our headboard.

While the moldings were drying, I installed my wallpaper. I installed one panel of Peel and Stick -- Beige Boho Minimalist Peony ZABP on the wall behind each nightstand. Since it was one panel, it was extremely easy to install, and let me tell you--this wallpaper quality is beyond what I've ever used before. It is so thick and durable, which makes it so easy to install. It's also scratch-resistant, which is huge!

Once my wallpaper was installed and the moldings dried overnight in the garage, it was time to install them! I used 18 gauge nails in the nail gun and the moldings were cut on a 45-degree miter to create gorgeous picture frames surrounding the wallpaper panel. We also installed a larger format frame behind the headboard to keep the molding consistent throughout the wall.

This was honestly such a quick and easy DIY and I love how it gives our bedroom a little bit of personality!
